✨5 Empowering Goals for the New Year (that have nothing to do with weight⚖️)

As the🌟 New Year approaches, it’s natural to think about fresh starts and setting intentions  But if you’re  pregnant,  postpartum, or somewhere in between, the pressure to focus on your size can feel overwhelming —and let’s be honest, unhelpful . We’re here to remind you that this season of life is about so much more than a number on the scale. Your body is doing (or has done) something incredible—creating life ! Let’s honor that with goals that empower, uplift , and nurture you from the inside out. Here are 5  ideas to inspire your 2025:


1.  💃Move in a Way That Makes You Feel Good

The pregnancy and postpartum seasons aren’t about pushing limits —they’re about honoring your body’s cues. Whether it’s a gentle yoga flow , a brisk walk , or a dance party  in your living room, find movement that brings you joy and leaves you feeling energized , not drained . The goal here? To move for the  love of it, not out of obligation.


2.🌱  Eat Foods That Are Rich with Nutrition

Instead of focusing on restriction , shift your mindset to abundance. Fueling your body with nutrient-rich foods—think  leafy greens, colorful fruits, hearty grains, and lean proteins —supports your energy levels ️, mood , and recovery . This isn’t about “eating perfectly”; it’s about nourishing yourself in ways that feel good and satisfying.


3. 🤝 Deepen Your Connections

As life shifts with the arrival (or anticipation) of a little one , it’s easy to feel isolated  or lose touch with loved ones . Make it a goal to nurture your relationships , whether that means scheduling regular check-ins  with a friend, planning  date nights with your partner, or simply calling your mom  to chat. These connections are your lifelines to support, laughter , and love.


4. Do for You

Parenthood is all-encompassing , but you’re more than just a parent. Carve out time for the activities that light you up —reading , crafting , gardening , or anything else that’s just for you. When you invest in your own joy , you’re better able to show up for those around you .

Mindfulness doesn’t have to mean hour-long meditations  or yoga retreats. It can be as simple as taking 10 deep breaths  in the morning, savoring a quiet cup of tea , or doing a one-minute body scan before bed . These small moments of presence  can help you navigate the beautiful chaos of parenting  with greater ease and clarity .
