At Freya Movement Studio, we see doula care as an extension of everything we do: thoughtful, science-backed support delivered with real care. Whether you’re preparing for birth or settling into the early days with your baby, our goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident in your decisions.

The Freya Movement Doula Collective is made up of doulas who each run their own practices while partnering with us to support Freya families. We take the time to understand what you’re looking for, then introduce you to the doulas whose specialties and approach best match your needs, and we’re here to support you throughout the process.

We support the whole person, not just the “birth plan.” In our prenatal sessions, we review the stages of labor, discuss your preferences, look at research-informed information, and practice comfort measures so you feel prepared for real decisions and sensations. After birth, we offer practical, hands-on support as you recover, care for your baby, and settle into the rhythms of postpartum life. Birth and postpartum are powerful, vulnerable transitions, and you deserve steady, compassionate support through both.

As part of that continuum of care, families who engage in birth or postpartum doula services with Freya receive 10% off private training or group class memberships for three months, starting from the beginning of their doula support. This helps you stay connected to expert movement and community during pregnancy, recovery, and beyond.

Starting the Journey

Birth Doula Support

Birth Doula

Working with a birth doula is like having a personal guide by your side throughout the journey. The prenatal process gives you space to ask questions, talk through your hopes and concerns, learn about the physiologic process of birth and possible variations, and discuss science-backed information, all while receiving personalized support as you move through the highs, unknowns, and decisions ahead.

Together, you prepare for labor by exploring your preferences and practicing comfort and coping tools so you feel ready for what’s to come. When labor begins we offer you steady reassurance, hands-on support, and clear guidance for both you and your birth partner. After your baby arrives, we meet again to process your experience, check in on your recovery, and connect you with any resources you may need.

You are at the center of this journey. Our role is to support your decisions, honor your intuition, and help you feel steady, informed, and cared for every step of the way.

Postpartum Doula Support

The early postpartum period is a time of immense change. It can be beautiful, challenging, and full of discovery. As your postpartum doula, we provide physical, emotional, and practical support in the days, weeks, and months after birth.

Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, we’re here to nurture you while you nurture your little one. Together, we tailor support to your needs, whether that means hands-on newborn care, feeding guidance, or simply creating space for you to rest and recover.

Each of our postpartum doulas brings unique specialties, certifications, and service styles. We’ll help match you with the right support for your family.
